Boys to men: Australian Kalenjins uphold their culture’s customs.  

The Western Australian town of Bullsbrook held the graduation ceremony to mark the five boys’ successful initiation.

The mothers hugged their boys who had been in seclusion for 20 days as feelings ran high.

 The occasion signaled the start of numerous such rites of passage that would follow, with more Kenyan groups still clinging to their customs.
