Telecommunications Jamii

Joshua is the owner and CEO of Jamii Telecommunications Ltd (JTL), which provides broadband and mobile services under the Faiba brand.

The company was founded in 2016 and paid KSh 5 billion for the right to install undersea fiber optic cable.

According to its website, JTL was the first Kenyan company to:

• Deploy a 700MHZ mobile network in Kenya.

• Kenya’s first VOLTE mobile service provider.

• Provide 1mbps broadband internet in Kenya for KSh 1000.

Sergoit Holdings Ltd.

Chepkwony is the chairman and majority shareholder of Sergoit Holdings Limited.

The company made headlines when it announced the start of construction on the KSh 40 billion Sergoit Golf and Wildlife resort in Kenya.

The multibillion-dollar project will include the construction of 2000 luxury villas, three golf courses, a shopping mall, a five-star hotel, a private hospital, and an airstrip on 3,100 acres of land.

Milling Jamii

On May 11, 2015, the KSh 1 billion Jamii Milling company, based in Uasin Gishu county, was launched. The miller can turn 3,000 bags of maize into flour every day. It also produces wheat flour, poultry feed, animal feed, and fish feed.

Kass Media Corporation

Chepkwony is the CEO of Kass Media Group, which owns and operates Kass FM radio and Kass TV.
