The Kericho County KECOSO games are officially underway.

The 41st Kenya Communication Sports Organization (KECOSO) games, which were absent for two years because to the Covid-19 pandemic, will take place in Kericho County.

The curtain-raiser tournament for the main events is scheduled for Saturday, 16 at the Kericho Golf Club, and it attracts more than 100 golfers from 14 member organizations in addition to the larger Western Region.

The event is being sponsored by the Communication Authority of Kenya, and the first tee-off will be at 7:30am, according to KECOSO Secretary General Omole Asiko (CA).

“We are pleased to be promoting sports once again throughout Kenya and among our member organizations. The first high-quality sport that Kenyans expect from us is golf, according to Asiko.

Athletics, golf, snooker, swimming, basketball, football, darts, pool, scrabble, volleyball, netball, and table tennis are among the 12 disciplines included in the main events, which are slated for July 24 through July 29.

Joel Bett, the county secretary, made a commitment to work closely with the council to make sure the week-long event is a success on behalf of Governor Paul Chepkwony.

Bett stated that the county is pleased that the council chose them to host one of the major athletic events in Kenya.

He said that the county would bring together all the interested parties, including KECOSO, to implement plans for making the event a success.

The county is grateful that it was chosen by the KECOSO governing council to host such a significant event. Bett commented.
